Freeholder Brendan Gill Votes for $455,000 Park Lighting Project

By year's end, Brookdale Park will be fitted with $455,000 worth of new lighting along its inner walking paths.

Gill, a Montclair resident whose district represents Montclair, Bloomfield, Belleville, Glen Ridge and Nutley, told The Times that the project has been a focus of the trust's advisory committee since he was elected to the freeholder board.

In his nearly two years on the board, Gill said that members of his constituency have approached him concerning both the need for lighting in the park and to make sure that the installed lighting does not disturb homeowners living adjacent to the park.
